The unwritten rules of fashion; some rules are meant to be broken.

With the recent brightening up of British weather, I think it's safe to say that Spring is officially here. I have decided to take a new approach to my spring wardrobe this year and break the rules completely. There are many unwritten do's and don'ts' of fashion, who wrote them? - who knows?
I am a strong believer in wearing what you want, when you want. Yes, fashion is about trends and styling but it's also about feeling comfortable and confident, it's about feeling your best self, and who doesn't get a kick out of breaking the rules.
Black VS Brown
Clashing colours has always been considered either a fashion faux pas or a bold move for those who like to push the boundaries. However, it is something that can be made easily wearable for anyone. A way to ease into courageous wardrobe changes is to pair black and brown with neutrals, and with neutrals being a key feature in SS18 catwalks, you'll be able to cross boundaries while staying on trend.
Outfit Details
The Dress - Zara (£29.99)
The Hat - Primark - Clearance (£3)
The Shoes - River Island - Last Season (£25)
The Sunglasses - Primark (£2)
The Earrings - Primark - Pack of 6 styles (£4)
The Bag - Primark (£12)
The bracelets - Primark (£2)
Primark was a lifesaver when it came to accessorising this outfit. Recently they have started adding 'SS19' stickers on their accessories making it super easy to shop on trend affordably. When saying black and brown together, the easiest thing to do is to pick accessories that already mix the colours for you, black and wooden jewelry is already showing to be popular for spring summer. I managed to find these amazing wooden, black and gold bracelets in Primark, which actually inspired this whole outfit, along with these amazing wooden earnings with gold and black accents, and for £4, you can't really go wrong! Patterns like leopard print and tortoise shell in glasses are also an effortless way to tie an outfit consisting of black and brown together.
The best way to approach contrasting colours is to pair them with diverse outfits, this dress could be worn in many different styles, for this outfit I went with a more boho look but it could easily be paired with bright statement colours to give a more modern feel.
